Places to Eat
Here are a few of Our favourite paces to eat in Glasgow and beyond.
Glasgow
O Sole Mio Is Glasgow's premier Italian Restaurant, it is in the Centre of Glasgow, close to the major Hotels, and has a warm, family atmosphere.
Koh-I-Noor is Glasgow's oldest Indian Restaurant, and is my particular favourite , with a cooling fountain in the centre of the Restaurant, and a superb range of Indian specialities.
Rogano With its unique 1930’s ambience, Rogano is the oldest surviving restaurant in Glasgow. For over seventy years its chefs have dedicated themselves to the delicate art of cooking and serving the finest fish and seafood in the world – fish and seafood from Scottish waters.
Outside Glasgow
The Waterfront, Oban The Waterfront Restaurant is located on the upper floor of what used to be the old Fishermen's Mission, with spectacular views over beautiful Oban Bay on the West Coast of Scotland. Watch the comings and goings of the ferries and fishing boats as you eat, and maybe catch sight of a seal in the bay. Facing west, you also have the luxury of views of the sun going down behind the Island of Kerrera.
Champany Inn is a haven of excellent restaurants and comfortable bedrooms just twenty minutes west of Edinburgh.
Here at Champany Corner, they have taken a collection of buildings—some dating back to the sixteenth century and the days of Mary, Queen of Scots—and created a luxurious restaurant with rooms. To this they have added their very own special brand of hospitality which they have blended with the finest Scottish beef, lamb, seafood and their award winning wine cellar.
The Moulin Inn first opened its doors in 1695 – 50 years ‘afore the rebellion – That is Bonnie Prince Charlies Jacobite rebellion of 1745.
A delightful Haven of authentic Scottish highland hospitality since 1695 , The Moulin Hotel embraces a warm and welcoming world of peace, tranquillity and traditional Scottish hospitality. Perfectly sited in the village square of Moulin, an ancient Scottish waypoint, the hotel sits peacefully just 3/4 of a mile away from the bustling and perenially popular tourist town of Pitlochry.
